In Odoo, we can import data in XLSX and CSV format. With this feature, we can import data such as products, customer details, accounting data, sales data, purchase data and so on into Odoo very easily.
To import data, we need to select the data file which is in either CSV or XLSX format. To avoid errors first, we will export the data from Odoo.
Here are the steps to export data from Odoo,
For example go to Sales and select Products. Then select products from the list and select Export from the Action menu.
From the following screen select the format of the export file and select fields we need to export. Then click on the Export button.
Now we can see the exported template.
We can add new data in this exported file. Now we can import this data by clicking the Import button.
But in Odoo 14, to import data go to Favorites and then select Import records.
Then click on the Load File button and select the file we need to import.
From the screen, we can see our data. Then select the correct fields and click on the Test button.
If there is any error we can see that by clicking the test button. Otherwise, we can see a success message as follows.
Then click on the Import button. Now we can see the imported products in the products list.
